Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' State BBQ Competition

Celebrate MAINE Festival August 7th & 8th 2010

 

 

The Raitt Homestead Farm Museum hosted the Celebrate MAINE Festival in conjunction with the Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' State BBQ Competition on Saturday August 7th & Sunday August 8th 2010 from 9am to 7pm. Competition-level BBQ Teams from all over the Northeast competed to win the Grand Champion Title.   Forty three teams competed in the BBQ competition.

Congratulations on winning the Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' State BBQ Competition.

Prizes included a check for $1500, trophy, Wicked Good Charcoal, and BBQ Bucks from Maine Grilling Woods.

The Raitt Homestead Farm Museum mission statement is to educate future generations about farming history. The restoration and preservation of the buildings, property, implements and equipment is accomplished by hosting family events such as the Celebrate MAINE Festival and the Mainely Grillin' & Chillin' BBQ competition. Donations from members, volunteers and the community at large  help with the upkeep of the property and funding for building projects. Thank you for all of your support throughout the years.
